Build your knowledge base to protect Canada's northern systems. As a student, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn skills to develop solutions to issues such as global climate change, decreasing non-renewable energy resources, land use, changes in water quantity and quality, and wildlife conservation.
  • Gain insight into northern and native studies content, reflecting northern environmental, economic, and social contexts.
  • Courses are completed at Yukon University in Whitehorse, Yukon.
  • Students must complete a minimum of 60 credits of UAlberta coursework while registered in the ENCS Program. Courses delivered in partnership with Yukon University will generally represent years three and four of the ENCS program.
